Hey there, I'm Shelda Edwards (she/her), a freelance illustrator and graphic designer on a mission to infuse the world with vibrant colors, one project at a time. I call Memphis, TN home, where I reside with my spouse and our delightful pack of animals. In addition to my creative pursuits, I find solace in video games, gardening, all things fantasy, and diving into a juicy novel.
My holistic problem-solving approach and knack for seeing the bigger picture, have allowed me to build meaningful collaborations with clients and colleagues throughout my career. My talent can be directly linked to my time at Memphis College of Art, where I graduated with a BFA in Design Arts (2015.) In 2017, I founded The Hive Collective, a nurturing community space that supports fellow designers in their growth and fosters a sense of camaraderie among like-minded creatives.
Driven by an insatiable desire to push boundaries, I have eagerly embraced new opportunities. This includes my involvement on the AAF Memphis board and co-producing a thrilling monthly lip-sync drag competition, Rainbow Rumble. These experiences have expanded my horizons, fueling my creativity and allowing me to continually seek out extraordinary endeavors that elevate the experiences of those I work with.
